A Typical Thursday
Today was a good day. Normal, but refreshing. I went to bible study this morning at church and that was nice. I enjoy doing bible study with a group of people. It always makes me think throughout the week about how I can better myself. After that,we came home ... Zach slept ... I cleaned. Then we played. That's it. Nothing spectacular, but I love days like these. They remind me to be content in the little things that God blesses us with daily. Like running around the house with Zachary playing chase.

What a Day!
I feel SO bad for Zach again today. His poor teeth are painfully swiping his happiness away. He tried so hard to be happy today and play. With his constant groaning and sudden squeals, it was hard to miss his discontentment.
Indecisive and Anal All at Once
For anyone who may be following my blog, which is not many that I know of ... you may notice how my "layout" continues to change. Let me explain. I am one of those people who have to have everything pleasing to my eye when it's something that I control, like my blog. If I don't like the way it looks (meaning it doesn't truly represent my personality) then I will continue to change it until I am satisfied. So all this to say, that if it continues to change everytime you view my blog, please bare with me. This touch of indecisive analness should pass soon enough!

Cranky with a Touch of Laughter
I despise days like today when I am so cranky for who knows why ... probably because my relaxing weekend was quickly over. Rushing reality knocked on my front door this morning. I say this so depressingly, but don't be fooled. I am actually very happy to be back to normal routines and busy schedules. It's how I thrive through the day. But for some reason, I WAS cranky ALL day long today. I felt so badly for anyone who stepped in front of my path. My hubby. My mamma. My Jewel (our dog). Thankfully Zachary only got about 10 seconds of it until I realized I was being crabby to him and quickly turned around my attitude toward him. He's the one person I refuse to let my physical emotions effect. Lucky him, haha. I'm not bad really, at least I don't think I am.
Irritability. Ugh ... what a terrible feel to have. That was me today. I got so annoyed at everything. Like the guy that pulled into my parking spot that I was waiting for. Usually I would just shrug it off and realize that parking further would be benefitial toward my exercise opportunities. Not today. I actually waited for him to get our of the car, put my hands up as to say "what was that about", and then shook my head disapprovingly as I slowly pulled away. YIKES I know!!! Usually this is NOT me. I don't do these things. But today I became one of majority of people these days who look at things so negatively. Now I feel guilty because even though it probably didn't effect that guy one bit, I still didn't have a Christ-like attitude about the situation. If Jesus would give his brother the shirt off his back after his brother stole another article of clothing from him (remember that parable? I know it's not quite how it went), but I can surely give my parking spot to someone who feels the need to take it.
Things didn't go that great today, but even so Zachary always finds a way to make things better. He's is an amazing toddler. He cheered me up today by just being his cute little self. I am so thankful for him. And my hubby is so understanding, but moreso patient which is important on days like today. I love him so much and am SO thankful for him too! Thank you Lord for my wonderful men in my life, little and tall.
Well, my hubby is offering me a backrub tonight, so I am going to make some tea for us to relax to before that happens!

Mini Vacation = Mega Rejuvenation
It's amazing how good a mini vacation will do for you. On Friday we drove up to Orlando to spend the weekend with Sam's parents and family. I love these weekends because it means total and complete relaxation. No have to's. No need to's. No shoulda done's. It's great. It the one time I can just sit on a couch talking or even just sitting and not worry about other things that need to be done around the house or whatever. It's needed because I am one of those people that constantly is go go go ... always having to do something. And this forces me to be my polar opposite, sorta. We still did a lot on our visit. Bubbles and playground fun at the park near their house. Train ride and shopping at Festival Bay mall. Eating fantastic food in never before tasted by us restaurants. Games with the family. Visiting Zach's great grandparents and watching him interact with them. Etc. All these are completely ordinary events for a short visit with Sam's parents when we come, but because I have no other immediate worries that are hanging over my head, then I can truly enjoy taking in these minor events and good conversation with family. It's nice.

My Poor Baby
Ugh ... Zach is teething again and I always feel terrible for him when this occurs. Poor little guy can't sleep in peace and during the day he trys so hard to be happy, but you can tell he struggles because his gums are in such pain. I know every child goes through this, but it doesn't make it any easier.
Plus, our insurance hasn't started yet and so we are trying hard not to take him to the doctor. We will not hesitate if he needs to go, but are hoping we can get through it this time without that need.
Please pray that he gets through this spout of pain with his teething for his little sake. I feel so badly and wish I could take his pain away.

Little Updates
adoption
We have one week left og the MAPP training required for adoption through the state, which is exciting and sad at the same time. It's amazing how closely bonded you become to people in a matter of a short period. But it brings us closer to the desired goal and that makes it fantastic. We had our first home study meeting this last Friday, it lasted about 1.5 hours. She was very laid back and so pleasant that once I got a feel for her my nervousness went away completely. She looked around the house a bit and asked a lot of personal questions, however not as many as I thought she would. She asked about our marriage, Jacob, Zachary, Jewel, Ebony, etc etc etc ... It all went VERY well I am happy to say. We have a second homestudy meeting this Thursday at 5pm, which Sam will actually be attending (he couldn't attend the 1st one). So I am very excited about the way this whole thing has been going so far. So praise God for that!!!
church
Today we were both very convicted about becoming part of the church we have been visiting for a littl while now. It's funny because the ONE (the ONLY one) Sunday that Zachary didn't have a difficult time with was TODAY and it so happened to be a sermon about growing spiritually in Christ and serving him daily. That is the EXACT thing we have been looking for in a church. We have wanted to find a church that challenged us spiritually and encourages us to continual growing in God and his will and word. So praise God even more for that!!!
finances
We got our tax return very quick this year which was a very nice amount, which enable us to pay off a TON of our medical bills, leaving us with only two that we still owe on. YAY! And the better thing about that is that we will have ALL of our medical bills paid of by April 1st! No foolin' ... no pun intended, haha. That means that we will be able to put even more money into our school loans and we should be ALL debt free in NO TIME AT ALL!!! Thank God even more on that!!!
friends
One thing that I have been praying about in the last few weeks is that we can find some other moms with toddlers to "hang out" with for Zachary's developmental sake, and my sanity sake too, lol. Within one week of really being prayful about it and having some others pray about it too, I have hooked up with FOUR different moms and have arranged for playdates or promises for playdates very soon. One is tomorrow, well two because one of the moms I met was at the library, so we're meeting there again. But I meet this other mom before the library at the park to go power walking ... hope I can keep up, haha. But then I am also beginning a "Toddler Time Playday" on Thursdays where toddlers and there moms can come over and do specific activities that help the kiddos learn and socialize together, which Zach needs a lot of right now. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRAY that this really takes off and more moms want to join in, because I know this will be so fantastic for the kids, especially Zach. But I praise God so much for his deligence in answering this particular prayer!!!The Lord has been blessing us non stop since we have been here in Florida and I can't WAIT to see how much more he has in store for us.
